The tatami mats gave the room a cozy, traditional Japanese feel, and the bed was comfortable after long days out exploring. Hotel Saikouken was a pleasant, comfortable stay. Check-in and check-out were easy. The room came with water, tea, coffee and a hot water kettle, along with towels. The bathroom had shampoo, body wash and hand soap. Our host was kind and friendly when we met in person, and was responsive, helpful and patient throughout. I'd definitely come back to Osaka.

The bathrooms were shared, even though the site said otherwise, and the rooms weren't clean. None of it matched what was described. We booked one room for five with a private hot tub and balcony, but that wasn't what we got. One room couldn't even fit two people.

We couldn't get into the hotel at all. We entered the administration ID, but the door still wouldn't open, and there was no staff there to ask for help. We had another trip to get to, and this was the worst hotel. Please fix this. What happens to other customers if the hotel stays like this?

We could walk to Kuromon Ichiba Markets, and Namba City and the stations were about 15 minutes away. The place was affordable and really clean, even with the shared shower and toilets. I never ran into anyone when I needed the restroom. They left us a cute chocolate Christmas gift while we were out, which felt very trusting. Toiletries were provided except shampoo, soap, and conditioner. There was also a water boiler and hair dryer.

There was only one key for all three of us. The toilet was cramped, and there was nowhere to hang a towel or keep a toothbrush or personal lotion. The hot water didn't look clean.
