The room made clever use of Japan’s limited space, and for its size it was excellent. It was spotless, and the staff were very helpful, though most didn’t speak English, which I hadn’t expected them to. I did have to look online to figure out how to use the keep warm kettle. Check-in took two minutes and checkout less than one. They do serve breakfast, but the excellent Life supermarket is just two minutes away and has a great selection of food you can take back to your room.

The hotel has a welcoming, old-timey feel, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Even the room cleaning was a treat. I had a great experience and would recommend staying here if you want to spend time in Osaka.

The Japanese breakfast was delicious and healthy, and the location is great, near two subway lines. The staff were friendly, and the old-fashioned hotel has an excellent bathroom, with a heated mirror and a shower with great pressure.

For the price, this is a good place to book when traveling alone. The rooms may feel a little small for a couple. Someone is at the desk around the clock if an issue comes up. I highly recommend them.

For someone on a budget, this is generally a very good hotel. The room is tiny, but it’s very clean, with an older finish, and the staff are friendly. Wi-Fi is a plus, since many Osaka hotels don’t have it. The downside is that not all the staff speak English. You’ll need to learn a few Japanese words or communicate with gestures. Rams 31/10/2012
