The room had more space than I expected for the price and for Japan. We could open two large suitcases comfortably, and the kitchen, washing machine, microwave, and hair dryer were useful, especially for a longer visit. If you stay five nights or more, you can request one free room cleaning. Cleanliness was acceptable, though I’d give it 3/5, with room to improve. The location is a strong point. The nearest station is under a five-minute walk away. Its closest exit has stairs, but Exit 5 has an escalator and Exit 6 has a lift. Exit 5 is still about five minutes on foot from the hotel. I’d recommend the hotel for its location, room size, and value, despite a few inconveniences. The luggage lockers on the ground floor cost 800 yen each and only take eight 100-yen coins. They don’t accept cards, other coins, or notes. That’s awkward if you’ve just arrived and don’t have enough change. With four large suitcases, for example, you’d need 32 100-yen coins. I contacted the hotel on WhatsApp and was told to exchange money at a nearby convenience store, but the stores I tried couldn’t help. Luckily, a nearby hotel with a front desk helped me out. Also, my larger suitcases didn’t fit in the lockers. The hotel staff kindly stored my luggage, but without their help I wouldn’t have had a solution. The hotel could make luggage storage easier by accepting cards or other payment methods. There’s no free bottled water either, so buy some at a convenience store. If you plan to use the lockers, make sure you have enough 100-yen coins.
