I arrived a bit late and wish I'd come earlier to see the place at its best. It's an amazing seafood market with plenty besides seafood, including gift and knife shops, vegetable stalls, food stands, and dining areas. Definitely a must-see in Osaka. Two thumbs up 👍👍💯.

I had sashimi and strawberry daifuku, and both were excellent. Kuromon Market is a lovely, reasonably priced lunch stop, with friendly, welcoming vendors and a great atmosphere. Bring cash, and try to arrive before 13:00 since many specialty stalls sell out of popular items early. It's a covered public market dating back to the Edo Period, with around 150 shops, mostly focused on fresh fish, meat, and produce. There are also traditional sweets, inexpensive clothes, and household goods. It's fun to wander and sample street food.

For seafood lovers, Kuromon Market is a must while in Osaka. It’s lively and full of character, and you can wander from stall to stall, trying fresh sashimi, grilled seafood, and other local specialties. There's so much to choose from, and the market experience itself is part of the fun. If you're after fresh seafood in an iconic, enjoyable setting, don't miss it.

I’d happily return to Kuromon Market on my next Osaka trip. It’s a great place to try Osaka food culture in one stop, whether you're a foodie or just exploring, and I found it well worth visiting. The lively feel comes from wandering among the stalls, sampling different foods, and chatting with friendly vendors. There’s loads to see, hear, and smell, from freshly grilled seafood to premium wagyu skewers and seasonal fruit, all displayed nicely and made to order. The seafood was especially fresh, sweet, juicy, and outstanding. Highly recommended.

The wagyu skewers are a highlight here, tender and packed with flavor, and the prices feel fair for what you get. We also tried King Crab, lobster, and grilled unagi. Everything was fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. Kuromon Ichiba Market is a lively, fun stop in Osaka, especially if you’re into seafood and street food.
