Nakanoshima Plaza

A comfortable place to stay.

The view from the window was amazing, especially at night, and to me it was worth staying for that alone. The room was also very spacious. Water came spurting out between the sink and the floor when I used the sink, and I couldn't figure out why my feet got wet. The note said draining the bathtub with water could cause an overflow, but I was just using the sink normally. The entrance seemed to be under renovation, so it didn't look as clean as in the hotel's guide photos. I was also disappointed that the air conditioning only let me adjust the fan speed, not the temperature.

Free parking was a big plus, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious, but the Wi-Fi was too slow for a Zoom meeting. There weren't any nearby cafes with Wi-Fi, so I ended up wandering around. Apart from that, it was a decent stay, and I would've liked to come back. Unfortunately, it seems the hotel is closing at the end of September. Thanks for 30 years of service.

The front desk kindly printed maps for the stations on my route, along with timetables and even train fares (◍•ᴗ•◍). Breakfast was included, and for an extra charge I got egg sandwich toast, like a coffee shop morning set 🥚. It was quiet, so I could think through my plans for the day. Free parking was a real hit. The instructions for parking and the underground were easy to follow, and the room had a card key. We were on the 7th and 8th floors, with a great night view 🌉. Parking from 11am to 4pm costs an extra ¥1100, paid in advance.
