Namba Hara Apartment

Really cosy spot. Dotonburi and Japaneid are close enough to walk to for halal snacks, and Lawson and Family mart are about three minutes away. Rita coffee is right next door. I’m hoping to come back next year.

We had to book at the last minute after our earlier lodging reservation elsewhere fell through, and this apartment saved the last few days of our two-week Japan trip. It’s only a block from OCAT Osaka Airport Limousine Bus Terminal, handy for KIX Osaka International airport. Namba Walk, with its underground shops, places to eat, and JR and local Metro Subway stations, is a short stroll away. The single large room had two double beds and one twin bed, enough for four of us and potentially five. Everything looked very modern and clean, almost as if Muji had designed it. The beds were comfortable, the linens crisp and clean, and each person had two pillows. I also liked the big rainfall shower, a welcome change from the tiny traditional-style bathrooms that seem made for people only five feet tall. The sofa was comfy and the room had fast Wifi. Some of the wall outlets also had USB ports. The host and staff at Namba Hara Apartement replied quickly and communicated clearly in English. I’d choose it over a hotel if I come back to Osaka.

The room was big, with a comfortable bed, and the location worked well. The building is a little old and the walls are thin. There’s no lobby or front desk.

Finding the entrance was tricky, but I reached out to the host and got an immediate reply. That helped a lot.
