Getting to the subway takes a local train ride that costs 160 yen. The apartment itself is a lovely little place for two, with all the comforts, though I'd replace the pillows. They're worn out and much too hard.

The owner is Taiwanese and was always willing to answer questions or help. We stayed in a tatami room, which works well for families with kids. The guesthouse is self-service, with facilities that feel new and comfortable. Abeno Subway Station is a two-minute walk away, and there's an elevator down to the station. Tennoji Station takes around 7-10 minutes on foot, though I usually rode the subway and transferred to the Tennoji JR or Kintetsu lines.
