We had a pleasant family stay, and I’d definitely come back to Osaka and stay here again. The neighborhood was quiet, with the main sights still easy to reach: around 15-20 minutes on foot to Namba and Kuromon Market, 10 minutes to Shinsaibashi, 10 to Tsutenkaku, and 15 to Tennoji Park. The room was spacious by Japan standards and had a washing machine, microwave, and cooker. There’s also a coin laundry next door where clothes can be dried in under an hour. It’s a self-service hotel: check-in is on an iPad, which gives you a code for the room. The online staff were quick to respond and helpful, and let us check in much earlier because our room was ready.

For the price, this little guest house south of Namba worked well for us. Our room was only about 2.5 by 3 meters, so it felt tight, but there was enough space for the two of us. The shared kitchen was spotless and had what you'd normally need, and the shared shower was clean too, though cramped. Convenience stores and coin laundries were about a five-minute walk away, and Shin-Imamiya JR station was around eight minutes on foot if you have the unlimited pass. Namba and Dotonbori are walkable in roughly 20-30 minutes. Staff were mostly there for check-in. I'd recommend it.

Really comfy, clean, and good value. If staying in a traditional Japanese house is what you're after, this hostel is a great choice.
