R Hotel Namba South

The location is handy, close to both the station and a FamilyMart, and the modern rooms were clean. Having Netflix on the TVs was a plus. Still, we had trouble sleeping because there’s no air conditioning, so we had to open the windows and let in a lot of street noise. The pillows were very flat, though the front desk gave us extras when we asked, which I appreciated. There’s only a mirror in the bathroom, with no outlet there for hair tools, which was a real inconvenience. I also think the 5,000 yen lost key card charge is ridiculous. The card has the hotel name and room number on it, which seems like a serious security problem if someone finds it. This should’ve been explained at check-in. Apart from those issues, the stay was decent.

The metro is right outside, which made getting around really easy, and the Japanese-style room was cozy and comfortable. The design was lovely too. Most of all, the staff were wonderful. My flight was delayed, so I needed to arrive after 10 p.m.; they replied quickly and helped me out. The hospitality was fantastic. I’ll definitely return.

Check-in and checkout were smooth, and the room was clean and well cared for. The area was another big plus, with easy access to the main districts and attractions on foot or by public transport. There’s also affordable parking nearby, so coming and going by car was easy without worrying about high fees. The staff and local people were genuinely friendly, and the place felt warm, relaxed, and stylish. Great value, and I’d book again.

I’d suggest adding a full-length mirror to the room. Aside from that, the staff were so kind and helpful. Before I left for Tokyo, they lent me a portable hand scale to weigh my luggage, then helped arrange a vacuum so I could seal my bags. They were cheerful about it, and I really appreciated the help. The hospitality was excellent, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Osaka.
