Sakura Sands Hotel Shinsaibashi

I left my universal plug in the room and realized it that same day, while I was still going to be in Osaka for two more days. I contacted the hotel right away to ask about collecting it, but never got a response. Communication was poor throughout the stay. Messages took a very long time to get answered, including our request for the WiFi password, which didn't arrive until the second night. The slow replies made things inconvenient and felt unprofessional, and it had a negative effect on our stay.

The area was quiet and local, with few tourists, and we liked having a Lawson just a few steps away. The price was reasonable, and cutlery and other amenities were provided. We also enjoyed the small bathroom's Japanese feel, though the automatic toilet seemed different from public restrooms. Even at the highest setting, the water from the pipe didn't come out strongly enough. We arrived at 5 PM, two hours after the 3 PM check-in time, but our room still wasn't ready. After self-checking in on the first floor and getting the room number and password, we found the door standing open and old blankets from previous guests on the floor. We asked the housekeeper whether it was our room or a system error. He asked for five minutes to get it ready but didn't explain what had happened. We then told the owner, who apologized and offered late checkout, since the usual checkout is at 10 AM. Nothing spooky to worry about, if that's on your mind, though we did hear some noise from upstairs, haha. Our three-night stay at Sakura Sand Hotel was March 31 - April 3, 2025. We enjoyed it overall and would come back. We'd recommend it to people visiting Japan. Sorry for any mistakes on our part, and thanks for the experience. Love from Thailand.

The bed was pretty hard, and the bidet wasn't working while we were there. Still, it's a decent place if all you need is somewhere to sleep after a full day out. Nagahoribashi Station's Exit 6 on the Sakaisuji Line is about a 5 to 7-minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

You can cook and do laundry here, with cooking utensils available in the lobby. It's self check-in only, so for questions you can message them using the contact posted there. The station exit is just a few minutes away, and dotonbori and shinsaibashi are fairly close too.
