Shikanjima Detached house

A handy base for seeing Osaka, with a clean, tiny apartment that still has all the features and gadgets you could need. You’ll need to carry your case up the stairs, as the other review mentioned. The thin futon mattresses were the only thing I’d fault. They’d normally be fine, but I had a bad back, so I slept on the sofa bed instead, which was very comfortable.

It felt comfortable and homey, and the windows opened for fresh air. The toilet and bath are separate, and the bath was relaxing. I was thrilled that the freezer had sweet potatoes, which were incredibly tasty. There was so much provided: an air purifier, kitchen and cooking utensils, washing machine with dryer, microwave, rice cooker, water dispenser, hairdryer, wrap and foil, knives, detergent, sponges, a lidded bin, vacuum cleaner, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, towels, toothbrushes, and tableware. There were also picture books, stuffed animals, children's toys like Othello, plus a table and chairs. The washer and dryer were fantastic, and detergent was supplied. It’s close to Universal Studios Japan, and I was very satisfied with the stay and the great deal I got. This was the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, and I’d love to return. The one improvement I’d suggest is an elevator, since the room is on the fourth floor and the stairs were a bit much ❤︎

It’s in a quiet area near the Universal building, and the train station is very close. The rooms are tiny but comfortable, with just enough room for four people. Cleanliness was average. There’s a washing machine and hairdryer, though the stairs are narrow and made getting a large suitcase upstairs difficult.
