Being near Dotonbori was handy, but the stay was disappointing because the apartment lacked comfort and basic amenities. The layout was awkward, with the bathroom far from where we slept. We could clearly hear the neighbors, and cigarette smoke kept coming through the vents even with the windows shut. The kitchenette had barely any equipment, just one cup and a few utensils. There was only one trash can for the whole apartment and none in the bathroom.

The location was superb, just a few minutes on foot from Donburi and Kuromon Ichiba, with several train stations nearby. The place was clean and spacious, too. But light sleepers should be aware of the noise. The main windows, floors and doors are paper thin. We were woken several times every night by people going to the wash room, a neighbor chatting outside our door, or partygoers laughing in the street.

There’s a kitchenette and washer in this spacious apartment. The nearest train station and Dotonbori are both within a 15-minute walk. Recommended for a family of 4.

We liked being able to chat, eat and cook together in the guesthouse. It had a great atmosphere and gave us lots of shared memories, so I’d book it again next time. The area isn’t bustling, but it’s close enough to the activity, with complete amenities and convenient transport. The location is easy to find from Exit 6 of Nagahoribashi Station: turn left, walk straight to the intersection, turn left again and continue to the supermarket. Cross the street and you’re there. There’s a FamilyMart downstairs, supermarkets both in front and behind, and Shinsaibashi is less than a 15-minute walk away.

A comfortable place with plenty of room for a family trip.
