Shin Osaka Sunny Stone Hotel

The room was roomy and comfortable, and housekeeping kept it in good shape. Staff were helpful and friendly. I was here for 6 days and 5 nights, and found a few Indian restaurants nearby, with Lawson and 7-Eleven just behind the building. The subway is walkable, and Shin-Osaka JR Station is close too, though the hotel is a little way from the city centre. There’s parking for vehicles, vending machines, and an in-house restaurant with good food. A pleasant, convenient stay.

We spent four nights here and had a great stay. It was comfortable and clean, with very good breakfast and excellent customer service. The train station is nearby, and a 7-11 convenience store is just a few steps away. Recommended.

It’s in a quiet residential part of Yodogawa ward, which suited me as a solo traveler looking for a decent business hotel. Access is handy for the Midosuji Line, Hankyu Kyoto Line, and Shinkansen Shin-Osaka Station, while crowded districts like Umeda and Shinsaibashi are elsewhere. The facilities are old but looked after, and the rooms are small, as is common in Japan. In general it was good, though noise from neighbors on the same floor can get through because the soundproofing is a bit weak.

The Japanese-style breakfast buffet was a real plus, and there are plenty of local places to eat around the hotel. My room was clean and comfortable, with just enough room for one person, though it was small. The hotel is well maintained and felt like good value.
