Super Hotel Premier Namba Shinsaibashi Natural Hot Spring

I stayed five nights and was very satisfied with the staff. The lobby team were attentive and smiling whenever I saw them. At check-in, one of the women walked me through the process and explained the services clearly and pleasantly. The location made getting around easy: Dotonbori is about a five-minute walk, Namba station is around ten minutes away, and it has several train lines. There's a Family Mart combini directly across from the hotel. The single elevator can mean a bit of a wait at busy times. From 5pm to 8pm, the welcome bar has free-flow soft drinks and alcohol, plus snacks and a coffee machine. The public bath is open from 3pm until 9am the next day, which was nice after a day out. It's on the small side, with four shower cubicles and a little soaking pool. My room was quite small, but I was travelling solo, so it was fine. I think it would be too cramped for two people. It had what I needed, and extra amenities can be picked up in the lobby.

The room was nice, with a good TV that has smart play for Netflix and YouTube. Free-flow alcohol from 5 pm to 9 pm is a great way to get ready for a night in crazy Namba.

The room felt cramped and uncomfortable. A big table and sofa chair beside the bed take up over a third of the space, leaving hardly any room to move or put luggage. The washroom is tiny and humid too. Location is the one upside, but the price still feels too high for such a small double room.

My husband and I booked three nights, but after the first one we left. The room was like a shoebox, barely enough space to turn around, and the bathroom was tiny and cramped, like an airplane bathroom. We arrived on time for the stated check-in and had already told the staff when we'd be there. Still, four or five staff were crowded in the room, talking and laughing loudly, and told us to come back in 5-10 minutes because they hadn't finished cleaning. Once we finally got in, it wasn't very clean: it was dusty, and I found long strands of hair that weren't mine. The onsen was also dirty and so small it was uncomfortable. The area might appeal if you're into bars, litter, and loud noise all night, but I'm focusing on the property and service here. We wouldn't come back. There are much nicer hotels within walking distance of Dotombori where you can spend your money and actually enjoy your stay.
