Super Hotel Umeda Higobashi

The value was hard to beat: when I booked, three people for a weekend came to under 70 bucks. Staff were kind and easy to work with. The place was much nicer than I expected, and the beds were bigger than in most Japan rooms because the third bed was a bunk. There were different pillow types to choose from, including the customer stow pipe ones. The bathroom was clean and typically small, and the AC worked great. Breakfast and the afternoon drinks and snacks were a great touch. If there were a spa too, it would feel like a pretty premium experience. Overall, a nice stay.

The charming fit-out and good location made for a nice stay. The room size was okay, and I appreciated the complimentary drinks and breakfast. At night, though, the doorway sensor light by the bathroom couldn't be turned off and caused a ruckus, while the bathroom fan hummed for all 24 hours.

I've stayed here twice, and the staff welcomed me warmly and were helpful on both visits. I love being able to pick a pillow to suit my taste, and the included breakfast was tasty. Rooms are a little small, but comfortable. I also like the small eco-friendly choices, like bamboo toothbrushes and drinkable water in the rooms. On my first stay, on the 1rst floor, I could hear a bit of music from outside. The second time I was on the 8th floor and heard nothing, so I slept great.

I stayed here with my parents, the three of us, from Dec 1-7. The room was very small, but I guess that's standard for a Japanese business hotel. Staff were courteous, the room was squeaky clean, and the hotel was convenient for the nearest subway and bus stations, as well as a grocery where we bought discounted bento for dinner each night. Our favorite part was the breakfast buffet every morning, haha. It was very oishi and kept us energized for our walks. I'm making a breakfast buffet a must for every trip from now on, lol. I'd definitely book here again if we come back to Osaka.
