THE BASEMENT HOTEL Osaka Honmachi

The front desk team were especially helpful when I left my camera at my previous hotel. They helped me track the delivery and safely received and stored the package, which was a huge relief. The service really stood out. I also loved the hotel’s trendy interior and the free afternoon tea on the rooftop, with a great view and décor that’s perfect for photos. The amenities were excellent too: microwave, ice machine, and laundry room. A stylish place with top-notch service in Osaka.

We really enjoyed the afternoon tea on the top floor. We missed the evening drinks because we were at the baseball, but it’s a great offering and the selection sounded brilliant :) It’s a lovely new hotel, and our room was very clean and a decent size by Japan standards. Would definitely stay again!

We loved the top-floor lounge, with free craft beers and coolers in the evening and lots of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. Breakfast was worth paying extra for too: fresh grilled vegetables, quiche, bacon, and delicious coffee. Our room was very clean and was made up every day. The pajamas were really comfortable, and it was great having the bath and toilet areas separate. If we come back to Osaka, this is definitely where we’ll want to stay.

The Basement is a new hotel with a minimalist feel, but it still has the facilities and amenities I need when traveling. The room was just what I’d expect, new and clean. Funny enough, a hotel with that name has a bright, comfortable social and dining area on the top floor, with nice views and lots of natural light. Breakfast was good, and I really enjoyed the cocktail hours. It’s a short walk to the Yotsubashi Line. The Midosuji Line is on the other side of the station, just something to keep in mind.
