One thing missing is a pool and a proper gym, which I'd expect at a St. Regis. Otherwise, The St. Regis is a luxurious and elegant hotel high above Osaka, with incredible views and a premium feel. Its location beside a train station makes it an ideal base for a stay in the city. Breakfast was beautifully prepared, with plenty of delicious options and excellent service. The hotel was accommodating and made sure we had what we needed. The personal butler service was a highlight too: the butler can help with packing and unpacking, handle requests, and make the stay more comfortable. A fantastic choice for anyone wanting a special stay in Osaka.

The butler experience at The St. Regis Osaka was lovely, especially as a fan of Pride and Prejudice and Black Butler (manga). From check-in to check-out, it felt immersive and wonderful. I think the hotel is aiming for an English manor atmosphere, and it pulled that off. I hadn't found it dated at all. I'm picky about dusty corners and scratched cabinets, but neither the lobby nor my room had those issues. Some online reviews compared it with the W Osaka, but that feels like comparing apples and oranges: W is modern, while St. Regis has a traditional English design. If those reviews made you hesitate, The St. Regis isn't scruffy. For subway directions, don't trust Google Maps blindly. It told me to use Exit 9, but Exit 7 has an elevator and is right beside the hotel. If you don't mind walking an extra three blocks with two big suitcases, though, the exercise is great. A typhoon meant I couldn't enjoy the little garden, which was sad. I loved the welcome, daily coffee and tea, free ironing for two items, and automatic help with luggage. The guy at the front desk looked like Sebastian from Black Butler (manga), which was awesome. Sorry I don't remember your name. The hotel is right at the end of Shinsaibashi, so you can walk the whole thing instead of starting in the middle and retracing your steps. I booked for around 70k Marriott points. I recommend the hotel and would definitely return to Osaka and stay here again. I just realized I didn't take pictures of the room or garden.

We chose between the St. Regis and the Ritz-Carlton, and I'm confident we picked the right one. The butler service was convenient and made the stay more comfortable. Staff were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the room was classy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with a genuinely luxurious feel. The only downside was window cleaning while we were in the room. It happened around 9:00 AM, but a notice was slipped under my door at about 9:30 saying it would take place at 10:00 AM. We'd partly shaded the window, so visibility was limited, but better timing and clearer communication would've been appreciated.

I've stayed at quite a few five-star hotels, and The St. Regis Osaka definitely stood out. The decor is beautiful and refined, and the whole place feels calm and upscale. My room was spacious, lovely, and had a stunning skyline view. The 12th-floor terrace and the hotel's setting on Midosuji add to the premium Osaka feel. The private St. Regis Butler Service was a highlight. It felt personal and made everything more seamless and indulgent. There are several restaurants, including La Veduta and Teppanyaki Wajo, so there's a good range of food options. The staff were courteous and attentive throughout. An effortlessly luxurious stay, and one of my favorites.

The staff were kind and attentive, though the butler service felt unnecessary to me. The location is handy, but not especially impressive. For the price, I expected more. There’s no pool, just a basic gym, and breakfast was so bad I’d skip it and eat somewhere else. There wasn’t an executive lounge or much in the way of other perks, and I didn’t get an upgrade despite being a Marriott ambassador. I preferred the older Osaka Ritz, which has a pool, hot tub, and much better food. The Osaka station luxury collection hotel was better too, with a pleasant lounge and very good food.
