We loved Osaka and would gladly return to the city, but we wouldn’t choose this hotel again. There were crowds everywhere and plenty of noise, so it’s a poor choice if you want to rest. We also thought the breakfast was very basic for the price, with no basics like juice, toast, or butter, and would rather pay for breakfast elsewhere. The bathroom is tiny, like an airplane bathroom, though it does have a shower. The towel situation was frustrating. After a full Sunday at Universal Studios, walking all day and coming back sweaty and exhausted, we used both towels to shower. One was still soaked the next morning. When I went down to ask for an extra towel for my husband, they said there would be a charge. That was hard to understand after hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto had readily given us extra towels, sometimes even four. The “eco cleaning” arrangement also felt unfair. I’m paying for a room and expect it to be cleaned and maintained properly during the stay, so I don’t understand why cleaning is limited so much. For what we paid, I think there are better hotel options in Osaka.

The room was on the small side, but it worked for our two-night stay. Breakfast was fantastic and included, and the staff were lovely. The hotel is in a good spot near the station.

The door soundproofing could be better. I could clearly hear people in the hall, and with the window open, the wind howled through the door. I’m a light sleeper, so earplugs solved it for me. The location worked really well: close to the Midosuji (red) line and convenient for Namba and Umeda, but far enough from those big transport hubs to avoid constant crowds. The neighborhood was clean and comfortable, mostly office buildings, with plenty of cafés and cozy places to eat. There’s also a lovely riverside park nearby, where roses were blooming in October. My room was clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and the free breakfasts were tasty and filling. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit Osaka.

I paid a reasonable price and had no trouble storing my luggage. The room size and location were good, and I got a larger room with two double beds. I can recommend Room 1320. Wi-Fi worked, though the speed sometimes dropped and it wasn’t very reliable. Breakfast was okay, especially the corn soup. Check-in was at 3 PM, standard in Japan, but check-out at 10 AM felt very early since most hotels offer 11 AM or later.
