Peacock Alley was one of my favorite spots. I kept taking pictures there in the daytime and at night, and went back in the morning too. The space feels relaxed, and looking down from the upper floor over the staircase and open lower level is beautiful and so photogenic. We were upgraded to a lovely corner suite with a fantastic river view. The room was stunning, and the staff member who brought us there offered to take photos by the corner window. I was concerned about the afternoon sun and reflections, but she reassured us and took some really beautiful pictures. It was such a thoughtful, genuine gesture. From arrival on, everyone was warm and welcoming, and the stay felt easy and comfortable. This was one of my most enjoyable hotel stays in Osaka, and I'd happily return.

The city views from the rooms and restaurants are beautiful, and the Waldorf Astoria Osaka is in an ideal part of Osaka. What stood out most was the team. The Waldorf Astoria Osaka Concierge Team, Rami, Yuma, Aajon, Yuriko, Hazuki, and Kana, helped make a once in a lifetime experience possible for us and were wonderful to work with. Rintaro Kimoto, a Guest Service captain, even walked our family to a nearby place to get something our kids needed. We're grateful and will be back to this amazing hotel.

I used a complimentary night from my Hilton credit card for a recent stay at the Waldorf Astoria Osaka. I'm a Diamond member and had high expectations, but several parts of the experience disappointed me. At the bell desk, the staff seemed noticeably more welcoming and attentive to foreign guests than to Japanese guests. I also reported a drainage problem with the bathroom sink to the front desk. For a hotel costing close to more than 100,000 yen a night, basic maintenance should be impeccable. Breakfast was excellent, but the stay didn't feel exclusive or special in the way I'd expect at this price. Compared with other luxury hotels I've stayed at, including Conrad and Roku, the value and hospitality were noticeably inferior. I contacted the Hilton Diamond member hotline, and they responded professionally and sincerely. I hope the hotel receives this feedback and makes meaningful improvements, especially so all guests get the same warm, attentive service regardless of nationality.

We loved the rooms, especially the thoughtful details, and the bath amenities were great. They were such a selling point that I can't wait to order Aesop supplies here in the US. This was our first stay at a Waldorf property, and it was amazing. The staff were super helpful, and our personal assistant made sure we had everything we needed. We didn't have to lift a finger from the moment we arrived. There's even a private chauffeur who can take you anywhere within 2km of the hotel. Need ice or cutlery? Just call and they'll bring it up. At the bar, though, my poke bowl took almost 30-40 min when we only wanted a quick bite. We were running late for a reservation, so I cancelled it. Staff communication wasn't always consistent either. We could charge bar items to the room, but had to pay for our meal at Jolie on the spot. Maybe that's a Japanese culture thing. At Jolie, we also had to flag down the wait staff for requests, and didn't get water refills on either of our 2 visits. Everything else was perfect, and we can't wait to visit again.

What makes this Waldorf Astoria stand out is the service. The team went out of their way for us, on par with the best Waldorf Astoria hotels and among the best Hiltons. The GM should be proud of the high standard here. We especially want to thank Steven and Dom in Canes for the cocktails and conversation, Tomas and Chika for the care in Peacock Alley, and Judith and Moe for looking after us at breakfast, and the origami. We appreciated the whole team and can't wait to return. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, with breathtaking views. Lifetime Diamond members are treated well, including with upgrades and a delicious breakfast. Peacock Alley's view over Osaka is stunning. All the food was delicious, especially the teppanyaki at Tsukimi overlooking the skyline. We also had a relaxing afternoon of massages at the exceptional spa. Housekeeping kept the room spotless and well stocked.
