Zone Shinsaibashi West

We stayed seven nights, and the location worked really well for the subway and things to do in Osaka. The facilities in the room all worked nicely, and the gym was good. The staff were great. We were in a rush and couldn't do our laundry, so one kind woman took care of it for us without being asked and left it neatly in our room. Highly recommend, and don't let the bad reviews put you off.

The location made getting around easy. I arrived late and wanted to see Osaka Castle on my first day, and reaching it and the train stations was no problem. Shopping is close, too. The bed was fine, clean towels were left at the door every day, and the shower had good pressure and heat. There is a sauna in the building that looked easy to reserve. I had a hard time recommending the place because of the drawbacks. There was no front desk, and I didn't see any staff during my stay, so there seemed to be nobody to help if something went wrong. Check-in was by computer, and the room code was apparently known only to me. They don't clean during multi-night stays, and I had trash with no way to get rid of it. The bin had separate sections for trash and cans or bottles, but everything went into the same bag, so I couldn't see the point. The gym was only available to guests from 2100-0500; I wish normal hours had been an option with my booking. Noise was another issue. I could hear the hallway and through the walls. I was tired enough to sleep each night, but still, it was noticeable.

A lovely-looking place in a great area, with everything within walking distance. The rooms are small but manageable, and there's a luggage storage room. I had a great experience and would come back on a future trip.

The area is great and the room was clean, with amenities provided, though it is on the small side. Check-out is at 10am, so a 4pm check-in felt extremely late. Still, it's a good-quality place to stay.
