We were a family of three and had a very comfortable room with our own bathroom. The guesthouse was clean and tidy throughout, and the hosts were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Even though our Japanese and their English were both extremely limited, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It's near the beach, and you can walk to the port and the restaurants, bars, shops, and other places in town. The hardest part was having to leave.

The owner was cheerful and kind, and the breakfast was generous and delicious for 1,100 yen. Each room has a touch-panel lock, which felt reassuring. There's only one shower booth, so that can be inconvenient. A washing machine is available for 100 yen per load, with detergent included. You'll need to bring tissues and a trash can if you want them in your room, as well as your own toothbrush, towel, and loungewear. That's part of staying at a guesthouse. There were samples from the neighboring T-shirt shop SAMEHADA in the dining room. I thought the shop was closed, but I happened to meet the owner and designer eating there. We got talking, he opened up the shop, and I bought a great T-shirt.
The landlady has such a captivating personality. Kids who love manga will be happy with the huge collection of books, and the view of the sunset from our room was fantastic. Highly recommend.
