The location and price are hard to argue with, even though the place is dated and you share the bath. I’d rate it a little above its 3.0 Google Maps score, so I gave it 4.0. The bathroom has two sinks, while the tub is barely roomy enough for two, so timing your visit may matter. The following day, only the showers are open: 4:30 PM - 11:30 PM and 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM. Women will probably need to reserve the shower room, which is available 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM.

I was cycling through on my way to Hokkaido and stayed here, right across from Mizusawa Station. It’s an older hotel, but the price was very reasonable and I liked the shared bath. Someone had recommended a pizza place nearby, and the pizza was delicious.

The shower in the room could use better temperature control, but the woman at the front desk was really kind and gave great service.

Good value and perfectly satisfactory. Maybe it varies by room, but I didn’t notice the smell people had mentioned.

For 5000 yen with breakfast included, it was a good deal. It’s an old business hotel with the basic facilities, kept pretty minimal.
