The onsen was lovely, and having the lifts right outside was convenient. The staff were friendly, though not especially helpful. Every morning at 4am, the snow remover parked outside our room woke us up, and it kept running until 6am. Everything here, from the decor and beds to the amenities, felt like it was from around 1992, a trip back to the late 80s or early 90s. The breakfast buffet was very good, but only ran from 7 to 9:15. Dinner was a single option, a buffet costing a steep ¥5000 per person, more than a full-day lift ticket. Skip it and the other food options are a 15-minute walk from the resort, with no streetlights, so bring a flashlight. The gift shop does have ramen noodles if you're stuck. For the price, it wasn't good value. I wouldn't recommend the hotel at what they charge.
