The best part was the food, and there was plenty of it. The owner grows the rice on their own farm, so it's shinmai. Sake from the farm is available too. Ask for Otani freshly pressed unpasteurized sake. Service was awesome, and the ski rental was better than any other I've tried, with all boot and ski sizes available at less than half the price of other shops. The room was a great size for what I paid. It's old, sure, but it has good heating, a refrigerator, toilet, bath, and enough storage for everything. I came to ski powder and did exactly that all day. The location is great too. You can call a taxi, but it takes 20 minutes to reach the gondola with your skis. The story is that when there's heavy snowfall, you can ski straight from the slopes to this hotel.

A very modest, family-run place, old but clean. If the rooms next to you are empty, it's perfect. Rental gear upgrades are free, with no extra charge. A really nice spot for a Japow holiday!

The property and rooms are a bit dated, but the staff keep everything sparkling clean. Service was great. I was a little disappointed by dinner, though given how cheap the tour package was, I was surprised dinner was included at all.

It seems to be run by an older couple, and they're very friendly. They don't speak English, but Google Translate let us communicate just fine. The hotel was super clean, and I had a pleasant stay.

You're not allowed to shower in the mornings. Storing things in your room costs extra, and for checking in 1 hour early, we were quoted 500yen per person.
