The staff were easygoing and really friendly, and the shared bathrooms and common rooms were kept clean. We had a private room with two bunk beds and shared bathroom, and it was great. There's an older building feel and nothing fancy about it, but it was clean, comfortable, and extremely good value for ski-in, ski-out access. For food, there are lots of nearby options. We liked Mr. Ramen down the hill and the Japanese restaurant up the hill, which serves lunch only and takes cash only. That was our favorite meal on the whole mountain. Guests can also get breakfast for 1,700 yen down the hill at the Endless Restaurant and Bar: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, salad, plus a continental buffet with toast, cereal, coffee, juice, and milk. The scrambled eggs were especially good. The location was phenomenal. It's ski-in, ski-out at Hakuba Norikura Onsen ski resort, and you can ski across to Cortina resort too. Satomi bus stop is a short two-minute walk, which made getting around the valley easy. There's a large equipment room with heaters for skis and snowboards.
