The room was calm and had a nice sea view. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious by Japanese standards. Service was warm, and the buffet had delicious fish and plenty to enjoy. Being connected to a huge mall made it very convenient.

We only spent one night here. The views and location were fabulous, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good, with plenty of choice. The room was extremely clean, and the beds were firm and comfortable, though it looked ready for an update: the carpets, lamps, and cabinets had very noticeable wear. I'd recommend the hotel.

We had a good stay, and on Jan 1, 2026 we got to watch the traditional drum show. The room was clean and roomy, and the staff were attentive. The hotel is attached to the AEON mall next door, and parking is free for guests. There was no halal food at the hotel, so we had to drive out to find nearby halal options. Vegetarian and seafood choices were available.

We came back to Grand Park Otaru for the second year with a small group of skiers and snowboarders, and the trip went smoothly thanks to Rei, the front office team, and Inga in group sales. The staff are professional, speak several languages, and know how to support groups. The hotel is clean, in a great spot, and easy to reach by JR train. Great value, too.

The rooms felt very basic for a hotel that's meant to be 4-star, with an old, small TV. Still, it was really clean, and some of the staff were very friendly. We assumed checkout was at 11 am, as is common in Europe. At 11 they called and told us to leave right away. We went straight downstairs but were charged an extra fee. Maybe that's Japanese culture, but there was no flexibility at all. I travel a lot and had never been treated that way before.
