Unwind Hotel & Bar Otaru

After checkout, the hotel kept my luggage safe while I made a short trip to Asahi, then came back for it. The process itself was quick and easy. It's a straightforward walk down the road from Otaru Station, too. My room felt fresh, clean, and well cared for, with a pleasant scent, and it was worth the price. Staff made check-in simple, and breakfast was filling despite being fairly simple. It was the same on day two, which didn't bother me. The chef and staff cooked it fresh and brought it to our table, with a beautiful view to enjoy. Everything about the stay was top notch.

On our fifth visit to Otaru, this was the best hotel we've stayed in. We loved the boutique feel, the free drinks at the night bar, the English-style breakfast, and the service from all the staff. Its spot by the canal and Otaru's main street worked well for us, and a taxi to Otaru Station costs ¥800 and takes about five minutes. We were there for four nights, though the 15 sqm room and smaller double bed felt too cramped for us at 170-175 cm tall.

The restored older building is beautiful, and the staff were kind, especially the woman who checked me in. I only stayed one night, but it was a lovely way to unwind after the busy ski resorts. Breakfast was fantastic, served in an afternoon tea style, and the stylish bar had amazing craft cocktails made by very talented staff. It's near Otaru's main sights and about ten minutes from the train station. I'd gladly come back. Greetings from Ireland! 🇮🇪

The rooms are tiny, and the bed was a little rough, but the hotel has a cozy feel and lots of care in the details. My room was clean, and the staff were very kind.
