We had a lovely stay in this beautiful Japanese house. It was really clean, the host was great to communicate with, and we found lots of nice surprises waiting for us :)

We chose the inn because we could rent the whole building, and the spacious courtyard sounded appealing. Although it was presented as a private lodge, a central door suggested the manager occupied half the house. We never saw the manager during our several-night stay. Towels had been left in the hallway ahead of time, and the garden pond had koi carp with food provided each day. They also left out sparklers and buckets of water, so we could enjoy them in the garden. There was drinking water and sake, and the mini kitchen had dishes, seasonings, and a microwave. We had a very comfortable stay.
