The hotel was easy on the budget, and after four nights I’d really warmed to the neighborhood. The station is only a two-minute walk away, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. My plans changed unexpectedly, so I needed a room that same evening, and this was the only available option at a reasonable price. The room was small but worked for two. The front desk staff were polite, though less friendly and approachable than staff at other hotels. It may not be fancy, but it’s convenient and fairly affordable.

The breakfast was fine, though the pork soup was better than the rice balls, which were too dry. The bathroom wasn’t especially cramped, and the facilities were what I expected. It’s near the station and restaurants. The hotel has since changed its name to Ai-Hotel.

There’s a supermarket at the station, with restaurants around there and the hotel too. Oyama (Tochigi) Station is about a five-minute walk away. Breakfast is available, though there isn’t much variety.

With two large suitcases, the room feels cramped. Apart from that, it’s a great place to stay.

All the toiletries were provided, and the staff were good. A good business hotel.
