Petit Hotel Corinthian

Dinner and breakfast were both great, and when I asked for uni, they arranged it for me. After dinner there’s a short film with drone footage showing the island in different seasons, which was a nice touch. The rooms are lovely decorated, and there’s a park by the sea behind the hotel. The owner and staff are really nice. They may not speak much English, but they try hard to understand and communicate, which we appreciated. This place feels underrated, and I’d absolutely recommend it if you’re going to Rebun Island.

The Soya Bus from Kafuka Ferry Terminal takes you to the hospital stop at Funadomari. The hotel is a group of buildings: the main house, annex rooms, and a bath house. Check-in officially starts at 3 PM. The common areas are ornately decorated, there’s a small souvenir shop, and the service is friendly.

I spent my birthday here. The room had lovely furniture and a great atmosphere, and dinner was tasty and marvelous. Lots of staff were working hard to give guests a good experience. I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but it seems the bad ratings may have come from scammers or customers who weren’t very bright. I’d definitely visit again.

The onsen here runs at 50°C, which is pretty hot. This is more of a European-style homestay, with gorgeous decor, and the host couple are really kind and patient. I strongly recommend it.
