The owner has a lot of talents. They run stargazing tours and designed the Rishiri scarves sold in the shop. Meals use local ingredients and were delicious, and you can rent a bicycle, including an e-bike with a basket for ¥1,000 for two hours. I found the modernized tatami room with its own shower and toilet wonderful. The communal baths were nice too, and having laundry on-site was handy for hiking. Highly recommend :)

The staff were really friendly and the service was good. They let me keep my bike inside the entrance, and the pillows were surprisingly comfortable!

The shared hot bath was large, clean, and had great service around it. The meals were decent, and the hotel itself was clean and nicely Japanese in style. They also lend bikes for free and are close to the public hot spring and the lovely new cycling road that goes around half the island. It's a bit of a distance from the ferry, but they're happy to pick you up and drop you off. For what I got, though, I felt the price was a little higher than I wanted to pay.

We enjoyed several nights here, with a different dinner served each evening. The food was delicious, especially the sea urchin, ceramic-plate grilled dishes, and steamed dishes. Staff were polite, and they even drove us to the ferry for Rebun Island. There's also a clean hot spring bath, though it's a little small. The Japanese-style rooms were clean, quiet, and relaxing. There was just one mirror, in the bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient. They offer a stargazing tour too, and on a clear night without clouds or rain, the stars are beautiful. Thank you for looking after us.

The place balances privacy and a warm, homey feel really well, and I'd definitely stay again. The staff were cheerful, polite, and professional, the owner thoughtful and kind. They picked us up at Rishiri Airport in their van, about a seven-minute drive away, and a staff member quickly carried our suitcases up the stairs to our second-floor room. We had no problems, but felt they would have helped if anything came up. The room was clean, with fresh, crisp bedding and pillow covers. The tap water from Mount Rishiri was cold and delicious. I slept comfortably without using the air conditioning. There was a bath in our room as well as a larger than expected hot spring downstairs, with eight washing spaces in the women's bath. The water felt smooth and left my skin silky. I liked that they provided samue-style bathing clothes instead of yukata. Free Wi-Fi, coin laundry, and two room keys were handy. Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and had lots of variety. They thoughtfully changed the menu on the second day. Dinner was full of fresh Rishiri seafood, and we were very satisfied, especially with the sea urchin that day. The rice cooked in a pot was delicious too. An early walk to watch the sunrise was refreshing. There's a Seicomart convenience store, an izakaya, and a Chinese restaurant within walking distance. We used the inn's rental bikes on the first and third days, then rented a car to tour the island on the second. It was cloudy, so there was no stargazing tour, and we didn't hike, but two nights and three days weren't enough to see everything. The island's well-maintained cycling paths make riding through the wide grasslands exhilarating. The inn's original tenugui towels, socks, and T-shirts are high quality and well worth recommending. Stone art with cat illustrations around the inn adds a sweet, heartwarming touch.
