Rusutsu Holiday Chalet was a lovely place for our family of seven to relax after skiing. The restored Japanese farmhouse feels charming and cozy, with traditional details alongside modern comforts, and it’s thoughtfully looked after. Mount Yotei views were stunning, and the ski fields are about a 10-minute drive away. Yi-Ching and Julien were warm hosts, communicated well before and during our visit, and gave us helpful ideas for restaurants, onsens, and local produce. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily recommend it.

Getting to Risutsu and Niseko resorts was easy from here, and our six-person ski group had plenty of room to unwind in the spacious living area. The house had enough bathrooms and restrooms for everyone, with a strong Japanese character throughout. Our host was so welcoming and went out of their way to make us comfortable. A memorable stay, highly recommended!

You’ll need a rental car, but I thought staying here was well worth the effort. After more than ten years of travel and stays in lots of houses and villas, this is one of the few homestays I’d call gold standard. The houses are lovely, with down-to-earth renovations that made the stay memorable. I’d strongly recommend coming with an open heart.

Yiching & Julien were wonderful hosts, and we had a great time. The place mixes a modern design with traditional Japanese structures and decor. There’s a huge garden and fantastic views of Mt. Yotei, even from the bathroom. The large kitchen and dining table were great for spending time with friends, and the slopes and golf area are very close. Highly recommend ☺️ Thank you ❤️

A cozy house around 10 minutes from the mountain. It’s a great base for skiing or snowboarding, especially with a big group.
