Hotel Mancho

After a great meal and some sightseeing, you can unwind in the onsen while looking out at the sea. It’s a cozy, pleasant hotel, and the meal was one of the best I’ve ever had.

A short traditional dance and singing show runs in the evening, about 20 minutes long. The ryokan was very good, and the staff were friendly and fun.

The woman at the front desk was very polite and gave excellent service. My experience with the other employee was different. When I parked, an older male staff member came out smiling to guide me. But once I said I was there for the day-use hot spring, his expression turned serious and he grumpily pointed me toward the front desk. The sudden change in his manner surprised me. I wondered whether the service changes depending on how much a guest spends.

Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and the staff were smiling, helpful, and great to deal with. I stayed one Friday night, October 10, 2025. It’s a large, impressive building that’s old but seems well looked after, with parking just across the street. The lobby felt open and spacious, and check-in was quick. My room was a decent size with an ocean view. The second-floor public bath was roomy, though I couldn’t tell much about the water quality and it didn’t really feel like a hot spring. I’d stay again if I get the chance.
