The surroundings were very quiet, though it wasn't very convenient to find a meal near the hotel. It's an old onsen hotel, but the room was clean and tidy.

The onsen area was simple but clean. My friend and I are both allergic to dust. She sneezed nonstop whenever she slept on the futon, and I itched all over. Don't bother with the set dinner or breakfast. They're expensive and taste horrible.

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice view of the surrounding mountains. It's a traditional Japanese-style hotel with an onsen. We had a great stay.

There's a popular vegetarian buffet restaurant at the hotel called Seifutei. In April and May, you can take a boat out on the adjacent river and see the many carp streamers hung overhead across the water.
