The food was pretty good, and the rooms were cozy with nice beds. There's a bit of water damage on the ceiling by the bathroom. A pretty nice hotel, though it's a little walk from the station.

I've stayed here twice, and it's been very good both times. They even rent out a Famicom.

The terrace was a highlight of room 403, which has an open-air bath. It's shaped like a ship's bow and gives you a panoramic view of Lake Sagami. There's a shower and bathtub out there, and the tub is covered to keep debris out. The indoor bath was also very spacious. At night, the illuminations come on, and looking past them to the city lights across the lake was wonderful. The place is easy to find, just a stone's throw from Sagamiko Interchange, but it's still very quiet, surrounded by forest. There is an abandoned hotel next door, which might feel creepy to some people. I'm used to staying in Shinjuku or Ikebukuro, so I was surprised by how spacious the room was and by the price. The musty smell in the lobby and hallways bothered me quite a bit, so I lowered my rating.

I used to enjoy the events and food here, but I'll be heading up to Takao from now on. The hotels in Takao have a lot more going on, which is fun. I knew this place from before, so the changes leave me feeling a bit uneasy. The prices and opening hours are reasonable, but the monthly events have stopped, the welcome service and food menu have been scaled back a lot, and things seem to sell out every time. Prices have also risen. The younger male staff on the night shift, not the morning one, seem listless and create a bad atmosphere, and the food they bring out is often poorly made. There aren't many places nearby to eat or shop, though there is a convenience store, so it may be inconvenient on a longer stay unless you shop beforehand. Some rooms being unavailable on certain days is a mystery. The facilities are getting old, and some things are broken, though the cleaning is thorough, which is reassuring. They never admit mistakes, either. It's always "That's the system procedure, so there's nothing we can do," lol. Check the price carefully before you use the place. And first off, the clean, lovely Balinese-style rooms in the photos aren't what you'll find, lol.
