For a week or even half a month, this area seems like a good place to stay if you take some time to walk around the streets. Nankai trains nearby go to Nanba, and the nearby Hankai Tram can take you around in a retro style. For Kyoto, I suggest the Keihan trains. The 8000 series trains (Liner) make for a real treasure of a journey. The price and service are reasonable. The room is relatively large, and the bathroom is good enough for what you pay. Laundry service is available too, just bring your laundry bag and the service fee to the counter.

I waited almost a week and still heard nothing back from the property. I emailed them several times myself, and the booking agency also said it had called and emailed to follow up on my request and reservation, but nobody replied.

There are plenty of little places where locals eat nearby. The train station is about 150 meters away, and sakaihigashi ginza is just 50 meters from here.
