I’d happily stay here again when I’m in the area. It’s close to the station, and there’s also an udon restaurant within walking distance. The room had a great atmosphere, and the futon was made from material I like, so I slept comfortably. Having both a microwave and a refrigerator meant I didn’t miss anything during my stay.

The owner was friendly and could speak English. Staying in a house more than 100 years old was a special, unusual experience, and I was very satisfied with the stay. For convenience, it’s best to check the parking arrangements ahead of time.

The second-floor room was an entertaining mix of an old Japanese house and what foreigners might picture as “Japan.” The exterior and interior should appeal to foreign visitors, and there was even a replica Japanese sword in the alcove that I think they’d love. Gamou Udon, one of Japan’s most popular udon restaurants, is nearby, as is a super sento with popular theater performances. People coming from Osaka or Kobe could enjoy staying here too. There’s a washer and dryer, so I’d recommend booking more than one night.

Even though we arrived late, we were welcomed so warmly and kindly. The beds were really comfortable. Thanks so much for having us! 🙌
