It’s quiet here without feeling remote, and the Joshinetsu Expressway interchange is close by, so getting there is easy. You’re away from tourist areas and housing, but not tucked into the mountains or forest, which is a plus if you’d rather avoid insects. The rooms are clean and well looked after, and the owner is friendly and lovely to talk with. ❤️
The owner’s cooking is the highlight for me. The appetizers, soup, and main course have all been delicious on my visits, and this time, perhaps for Christmas, there was roast beef 🍖 that went really well with the red wine I brought 🍷. The place feels so homey and relaxing. Rooms are spotless, with both Western and Japanese styles, and the kids made a beeline for the loft in the Western-style room. You make up your own sheets and pillowcases. WiFi is handy for work or just chatting. I’ve been back many times and will definitely come again! (^^)
I’m especially fond of the blankets here. Motorcyclists seem to like the inn too, and with so many nearby places to visit, coming in different seasons could be fun.
You bring your own drinks, even soft drinks, which means I can have the alcoholic drinks I like with dinner. I particularly enjoy that.
The meals are tasty, and the room is clean. The sink area and toilet are clean too, so it’s comfortable to stay here.
