Morinoyu Kiranosato (kyoritsu Resorts)

There are gender-separated public onsens, three private ones, a sauna, and, if you've booked it, a small onsen in your room. The surroundings are beautiful and it's very relaxing. The walk down to the coast is well worth it. The ryokan feels like a little village, and staff were always preparing small surprises outside the main building. They were polite and gave impeccable service, even though we know very little Japanese. The food was plentiful and great. I'd definitely come back. Thank you very much！

The location is good, and the room was fair, but the food was bad enough that the price felt unjustified. During dinner, I found a mosquito in the Japanese-style hot-pot soup. The waitress saw it after we showed her the body, and they replaced the soup with only a slight apology. No other staff member offered an apology or explanation before checkout. It felt awful. The room facilities were too old, even allowing for a traditional Japanese hotel, and there was dust on the restroom door window. The private onsen was below average and surrounded by mosquitoes, so the public bath was the better choice. The service didn't match the price.

Our 10- and 11-year-old kids loved this safe, beautiful place, and the roomy room had comfortable beds. The staff were kind and helpful, and the surroundings made a lovely break from the city during our Japan trip. There were lots of kids around, but it was still relaxing for the adults. I'd highly recommend it.

My room had a sea view, which was awesome and felt far removed from the city. The ryokan's different villas and rooms give it the feel of a small village, with nature sounds all around and a peaceful atmosphere. I especially chose this place for the public and private hot springs, and they didn't disappoint. They also offer little snacks for free around the ryokan. It's uphill, so getting around the neighborhood on my own was difficult without a car. The free shuttle to Izu Kogen station helped me get around. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!
