The large, free parking lot was a real plus, and the coffee machine by reception offers welcome drinks from 2 p.m. to midnight. Lemon water is available too. We stayed overnight after seeing the illuminations at Ashikaga Flower Park. Our room had a double bed and a loft bed; we slept in the double and didn’t use the loft, but its ladder felt a bit scary. Powdered sencha is provided, though there’s no black tea, which was disappointing for a tea lover. Roomwear is a one-size gown kept in the hallway. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand and face wash, and a toothbrush were in the room bathroom. Other amenities are on the first-floor hallway, so you have to go get what you need. There were no basic skincare products. The hair dryer was a 1200W Panasonic. I didn’t eat during my overnight stay, so I can’t say how the food was, but adults can get the breakfast buffet for 1,100 yen. I was mostly satisfied. The one unpleasant thing was finding that the toilet waste bin hadn’t been cleaned. I understand it can happen in a shared public space, but seeing other people’s waste in the private toilet of my room bothered me.

Check-in service was great, and the hotel felt like good value. At other Comfort Inns, the mattress was so soft I couldn’t sleep well, but this one was firmer and I got a good night’s rest. I’d like to stay again.

We booked a room with a loft for two, without meals. The bed and room were clean, but there was hair in the bathtub that looked like it belonged to the previous guest, so perhaps it had only been wiped down. For an overnight stay, I don’t think that’s a major problem.

Good value for the price. The rooms are cleaned properly, and microwaves are available, which makes eating in the room convenient. Breakfast is buffet-style. I made a waffle for myself and ate it while it was hot.
