The onsen is outstanding, and families can share it. You usually only find an onsen this good at much pricier, upscale ryokan. For 6000 JPY, the quality is amazing. I also liked the little extras, like free coffee all day and free massage chairs. Breakfast was 2000 JPY and had plenty of choices in a good, typical hotel buffet. Sadly, the restaurant was closed in the evening. I hope these folks made it through the pandemic, they deserve to. Excellent hotel, and I’ll be back. Six stars if I could. I’m not sure why it only had a four-star rating!

We booked for five guests and got a house with a private family onsen. The staff were really helpful, and parking was free.

It’s an old hotel, but a nice one. The bath is good, and there’s also OPORO if you want it.
