Onoda Central Hotel Yamaguchi

The shampoo selection is a real treat, with all the options being expensive brands. I'm staying several nights, and choosing a shampoo each day along with having breakfast has been fun. Breakfast is delicious every day, and the front desk staff are very kind. I'm really satisfied and would love to come back.

I stayed in December 2025. Parking is free on site, and there seemed to be plenty of spaces. The building is old, though they've replaced parts where they could, so it didn't feel especially dated. The plumbing is probably costly to fix. The shower head sprayed hot water everywhere, so I had to watch for splashes. The shower curtain was on a tension rod, maybe as a cost-saving measure (lol), and wouldn't stay at the edge, which was annoying. There was also an extension cord. Since people probably plug it into the outlet and run it behind the TV, I think it would be better fixed in place. Breakfast was free, but bread seems to be available only on weekends. You might get tired of the choices over a multi-night stay. There's a supermarket nearby, which is handy for groceries.

You get the basics here, and that's about it. With a demerit-based score it would do well, but on a bonus-based one it would come out low. The amenities cover the minimum, but there's no face wash or skincare stuff like you'd find at a nationwide chain. Wi-Fi is slow, though fine for ordinary use. The TV is old and the picture isn't great, but that's not much of an issue unless you connect a PC. The free breakfast doesn't have much choice, but what they serve is tasty. For about the same money you could go to Ube and get better service at a Route Inn. Still, if you're here just for business, you probably won't be disappointed.

There's plenty of parking, and even large vehicles can fit if you reserve ahead. You can pick your pillow, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, and there's a welcome drink of local alcoholic beverages when that offer is running. It's a clean, comfortable business hotel, quiet and pleasant 😴. Seems like an ideal place to stay 😎.
