We spent three nights here over Christmas. It’s clean, affordable, and well located, and the breakfast was pretty okay. The problem was that we were put on one of the two smoking floors. Neither my partner nor I smoke, and the tobacco smell was strong in the hallway and our room. Even the sheets smelled of it, which made all three nights unpleasant. We asked about switching, but the front desk worker wasn’t helpful and only said the hotel was fully booked. I understand that can happen in the holiday season, but nobody tried to offer a solution or compensation. Being given that room without a heads-up and with no way to change it felt completely unacceptable given how strong the smell was.

Breakfast was a simple buffet, mostly Japanese food with a few pastries, but it was satisfying. The room, though, was extremely cramped for a two-person booking. Once our luggage was open, there was hardly any room to walk. Just an average business hotel.

The price was super reasonable and the location was great. Rooms are small but functional, and breakfast was the same each day, good enough to get going in the morning. I thought the staff could’ve been a little friendlier.

The Wi-Fi worked great, and the hotel is very close to susukino. I didn’t find the red light district surroundings affected my stay at all. The room is the usual small Japanese business hotel size, but it was clean and comfortable.

There’s no coin laundry, which would’ve been handy. Breakfast had eight main dishes to choose from, served with rice or congee. Susukino subway station is only a few minutes away, and plenty of restaurants stay open even if you check in late.
