The hotel has plenty of parking and even a side gate that gives guests exclusive access to the theme park, so it’s a great place to stay when visiting. Book early, since buses full of students may be there during school breaks. The rooms are in separate blocks around the grounds, so you walk outside after checking in. Block A connects to the lobby. Our room was a good size, and breakfast had a good range, a little better than the usual free Japanese breakfast. Ice cream is included. A live warm station would make it even better. It’s right beside the park, and I’d recommend staying here.

We stayed two nights in late July, when it was 33° and 35°. I was born in Rotterdam and had always wanted to visit huis ten Bosch, which is why we chose this hotel. The large room was fine, with nice amenities and lovely big windows in summer. The air-conditioning worked well, and the auto lights caused no trouble. Breakfast was good, checkout was at 11am, and the theme park was close. The pillows felt really strange, like they were full of beans. The walls didn’t block much sound, so mornings were reasonably loud, though nights were fine. The bed was firm but comfortable, while its wheels squeaked a lot. Some reviews had made me nervous, so we brought travel pillows, and that worked out fine. It doesn’t deserve the bad reviews. Check-in in several languages was translated well, and staff were there to help. Our train was delayed by heavy downpours, so we took a taxi for about 2300 yen. Walking to the station on the way back was easy. I’d stay here again.

We went the day after Golden week ended and stayed in a Superior Japanese room. The room was big, and three futons fit easily on the raised floor. The park had a private entrance for hotel guests with 15-minute early entry, and there was a great view. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, WiFi was fast, and parking was validated. There’s a free shuttle to and from the park’s main entrance, plus a mini store for anything you forgot. Check-in and checkout were done by robots, but human assistants were around to answer questions and help. The parking at the hotel costs money, while free parking is a quarter mile down the road. It wasn’t expensive, just a bit inconvenient. TV channels were limited if you don’t understand Japanese. A great experience overall, highly recommended.

The check-in machine gave me the worst check-in experience I’ve ever had. It was the machine, not the staff.

The best part is a gate straight into the park, with early entry included. The standard room didn’t impress me, though. WiFi was very slow, all HDMI inputs on the TV were disabled, shower pressure was weak, and there was nowhere to organize belongings. Bring headphones, or get to know your neighbors. The hotel is next to the park but farthest from the train station. If you arrive by train, expect a long walk around the park over brick paths, and hope it doesn’t rain or bring a raincoat. The hotel is split into blocks, and if your building is away from the main check-in, you’ll be exposed to the weather again. Would we stay again? Maybe if it were free. Otherwise, no thanks. Your mileage may vary, good luck!
