The dinner was amazing, and the view from our room was magnificent. Highly recommend!
The food was the highlight, especially the seafood dinner we’d been looking forward to. There was a generous platter with five kinds of fresh sashimi, plus freshly grilled fish collar and a subtly sweet, flavorful simmered fish head. We enjoyed it all with draft beer and sake. If you leave some sashimi, they turn it into pickles for the next morning, which were lovely over rice or in ochazuke. The pickles brought a bit of color to the warm, typical guesthouse breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable, with its own bathroom and toilet. The sky was cloudy, so we couldn’t see the sunset, though I’m sure it’s beautiful over the sea on a clear day. We happened to be there on the Hawks’ championship day, and my husband and I had a wonderful evening with all that delicious food. Thank you for the meal. The rooms are modern after renovation, clean, and the bathroom was nice too. The dinner portions are generous, and leftover sashimi can be made into a marinated rice bowl the next day. I think it’s great value for money. I’d honestly love to stay again. The cats are super cute, and I’m sure the sunset is beautiful when the season is right.
Traveling with our 2-year-old, we found the rental toys really helpful. The sashimi platter was so large we could hardly finish it, and the meal was delicious all around: boiled and grilled fish, three small side dishes, rice, and miso soup. I’ll definitely come back!
