The family spa room has air-conditioning and a hair dryer, but no fridge or amenities. The hot spring water feels lovely, and after an hour my skin was still smooth and soft. A wooden tub makes the experience feel even more Japanese and relaxing. There are lots of bamboo trees outside the entrance.

Dinner was awesome, with generous servings of top-grade wagyu beef, pork, and other tasty dishes. The room was spacious and very clean, with two beds, a living area, and a nice shower. The onsen was very good, too. We appreciated the boss's friendly hospitality and the information he shared about his hotel.

Getting there takes some planning since there's nothing nearby. We came from Kagoshima city by bus and taxi, and you need a car to get around. Still, I'm really glad we chose this inn after living overseas for a while. The hot springs were probably the best I've ever experienced. Our room was spacious, with two large beds and plenty of amenities. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, with lots of varied, carefully prepared dishes.

It's a small, cozy inn with a simple, free-flowing hot spring and a strong sulfur smell. The food was excellent. My husband said it was the best meal of his Kyushu trip. The staff and guests were all Japanese, which made it quiet and feel completely unaffected by inbound tourists. I'd like to visit again.
