The room and surroundings were good, and there were free drinks and snacks at the lobby bar. But the dinner was such a bad experience that I was really disappointed. Our family checked in around 17:00 and was assigned the 20:00 dinner buffet at restaurant keyaki. When we got there, much of the food seemed left over from the 19:00 guests. Nobody was refilling it, and there were only a few pieces of sashimi left, which had been sitting there for 40 minutes. At 20:30, while we were still eating, staff began clearing the food stations. The hot items at the live station, including the OX tongue and roast beef, had been set aside and gone cold. We understand the restaurant was full at 19:00 and followed the staff’s instructions to wait, watching television until our slot. But if the hotel assigns guests to eat at 20:00, it should make sure there’s enough food and that it’s in good condition. We felt like we were eating the 19:00 guests’ leftovers. If the hotel can’t maintain the quality and quantity of the food, or staff need more time to clean up and leave, guests should be scheduled earlier instead of split across so many time slots.
