The onsen is a relaxing way to wind down after being out, and they also have free late-night ramen, ice cream, and self-service laundry. The rooms are spacious enough to be comfortable, and the prices are really affordable. The location’s handy too, just a short walk from the station and nearby malls. Whenever I’m going somewhere with a Dormy Inn, it’s my first choice, and the Sendai Annex lived up to that. For this price, I honestly can’t find anything better. Highly recommend.

A coffee machine offers a welcome drink, and the lobby floor also has a restaurant and large public bath. The bath has an indoor pool and an open-air one. In the evening, Dormy Inn serves free late-night ramen, followed by free ice cream after a bath, and Yakult in the morning. This Dormy Inn is in central Sendai, inside what looks like an office building, with reception on the third floor. There’s another Dormy Inn close by, so take care not to mix them up. You can watch a room tour movie on YouTube by searching hakurepo(Hakurepo) or the hotel’s name.

I found traces of dead insects on the bed sheets, and got woken up by bites, probably from bed bugs. Staff knew about the issue, which had also been reported in other reviews, but did nothing. Terrible experience. I’ll file a complaint with the company because the service wasn’t adequate. I recommend staying elsewhere. Saving money isn’t worth your health. See the attached picture of the bites.

I really liked the onsen, ice cream, and late-night ramen. But the rooms are tiny and look rundown, and I slept very poorly.

The onsen was really good. The pillow was awful, about 2 inches thick and the wrong kind of hard, and the bed was hard too. They didn’t do room service during any of my three days there.
