The room and surroundings were good, and the lobby bar had free drinks and snacks. But dinner at restaurant keyaki was a really disappointing experience. Our family checked in around 17:00 and was assigned the 20:00 buffet. We followed the instructions and spent the time watching TV while waiting. When we got there, the food seemed like leftovers from the 19:00 diners. No one replenished it. There were only a few pieces of sashimi, which had been sitting out for 40 minutes. At 20:30, staff started clearing the stations while we were still eating. The hot dishes at the live station, including OX tongue and roast beef, had been set aside and gone cold. We understand the restaurant was full at 19:00, but if guests are assigned to eat at 20:00, there should be enough food of decent quality for them to choose from. We felt we were eating what the earlier guests had left. If the hotel can’t keep up the food quality and quantity, or needs more time to clean up and close, it should schedule guests earlier instead of splitting dinner into so many time slots. I never expected this from such a big hotel branch in Japan.
