Alpha Hotel in Jyozenji

It was reasonably priced and comfortable. The hotel is a long way from Sendai Station, but the end of Jozenji Street is quiet, with no noise. Kokubuncho is only a short walk around the back of the hotel. I had a non-smoking single room that was spacious enough for one person. The bathroom and toilet were clean and had no strange smell. It was nice to have a balcony to step outside onto. Dinner was fine, though I wasn’t sure where to hang my used towels, so I used a clothes hanger.

The cleaning wasn’t great, especially the dust by the window. My room faced away from Jozenji Street, so there was no view. Take care choosing a compact room. The room itself was decent, with an apartment-style wallpaper, a good desk and chair, and a soft bed. But finding cigarette holes in the sheets of a non-smoking room was unacceptable. The bathroom unit was a newer style than older ones and had good ventilation. Like other reviewers, I was shocked by the front desk service. It felt like the full-time staff were doing their jobs reluctantly.
